Yummy 4# First pumpkin soup of the year!

Fall is coming and pumpkins are in the stores.
My own planted pumpkins had been assassinated by fast and numerous slugs. What a pity! But next year i will try again!

Do you wanna try my favorite pumpkin soup recipt?  Here it is:

1 big Hokkaido pumpkin or two smaller ones
1 big onion
5 cm fresh ginger
800 - 1000 ml vegetable stock
200 g Mascapone or Ricotta or Creme fraiche
Salt and pepper
Oil
150 g smoked ham as topping

Wash pumpkin, remove seeds and cut into pieces. Dice onion. Peel and cut ginger. Heat oil in a pot. Add onions and sauté until soft. Add pumpkin and ginger. Roast two more minutes. Pour vegetable stock over pumpkin until it´s covert. Add more if you like your soup more liquid. Cook until pumpkin is tender. Add mascapone, salt and pepper and purée until smooth. Roast smoked ham until it´s crispy. Serve the soup in bowls and top it with a spoonful of smoked ham.

Yummy 3#

This recipes preparation takes only 2 min ... well, it feels like... in fact it takes ca. 5 min.
But you haveto prepare it one day before.
And here it is: chicken legs in vermouth:
For two people we need:
4 chicken legs
1 bottle of vermouth (you can use the cheap one)
1 teaspoon juniper berries,
1 teaspoon rosemary
the paring of one lemon (preferably organic, otherwise rinse well!)
500 g of grapes
The side order is a matter of taste, so there is always rice for my husband and for me it´s bread.
To prepare:
Wash chicken legs and put it into some ovenware.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper and place the lemon on the legs. Then spread over the juniper berries and rosemary. Pour vermouth all over and let it infuse one night.
Next day you put it  in the oven for 40-50 minutes. After about 30 minutes you add the grapes.
Done! By the way, it is great with guests and really little work.
Sorry, I forgot to take a pic, but I will post it next time we eat it!

Rezept Nr. 3

Yummy 2#  Cupcakes!
Well, actually there're muffins with a delicious cream cheese-topping. Cupcakes and muffins are similar, but differ in taste due to a softer dough and sweetness.Cupcakes are much sweeter and in regard to my body I still use my muffin recipe. And here it is:
Basic recipe for 12 muffins:
250g flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
100 g sugar
2 eggs
75 ml oil
250 g yoghurt
You can mix it up with fruits, chocolate chips, or whatever you like.
Topping, icing, frosting, whatever...
I use cream cheese and Maskapone to equal amounts and mix it with chocolatecream (in Germany Nutella) or fruits. With the fruits you have to be careful, because when it is too watery, the cream becomes too liquid and runs down the cupcake. You can also use some food coloring, that looks great.

Cupcakes!

And here they are, my blueberry and choclate cupcakemuffins!
Und hier sind sie, meine Blaubeer-und Schokoladen-Cupcakemuffins!

Yummy 1#
Today we dig out an old German Democratic Republic - recipe. Solyanka. Very easy and very tasty.

Heute kramen wir ein altes DDR-Rezept hervor. Es gibt Soljanka. Super einfach und super lecker.

What we need:

First of all plentiful sausage (pork sausage, chicken sausage and a thick "traditionsalami") each at least 200 grams.
some oil for frying
diced ham
1 onion
3 garlic cloves (I take 1 teaspoon chopped ready-made from the freezer ... so there are no smelly hands after)
2 bell peppers (yellow and red)
2 glasses "Letcho"
1 spoon tomato paste
about 4
gherkins and 100 ml gherkin water
paprika spice, pepper
Bay leaves, depending on size 1-3
1 teaspoon broth
1 to 1.5 liters of water
sour cream as topping

Well,  just throw all together and cook until the pepper is ready.
Ok, it's not quite that simple. At first,  sauté the chopped ham, onions and garlic, after that do the same with the sausage. Now, the bell peppers and the remaining ingredients are added and cooked until everything is done.
Serve it  with some sour cream on top. Hmmmm!
Was wir dazu benötigen:
